Our Safety Commitment
Safety is the foundation of every decision at ZyroGo, from how trips are scheduled to how vehicles are loaded and operated. As a committed intercity carrier, ZyroGo is designed around clear rules, trained professionals, and equipment standards that prioritize the well-being of passengers, drivers, and the public over speed or convenience. ZyroGo’s Service Agreement sets out expectations for safe conduct, baggage handling, emergency procedures, and onboard security so that trips are operated in a consistent and disciplined manner. Safety is supported through driver training, onboard monitoring, reasonable baggage policies, and clear authority for drivers to act when safety is at risk. Conditions on the road can never be fully controlled, and no transportation system is completely risk-free. However, ZyroGo focuses on reducing avoidable risk and responding promptly when issues arise. Policies, procedures, and training are reviewed regularly, and feedback from passengers, staff, and operational reviews is used to continuously refine how services are planned and delivered.
Driver Standards & Professional Conduct
All ZyroGo drivers hold the licences required to operate passenger vehicles and maintain driving records that meet internal safety standards. Candidates are screened before hire through identity verification, eligibility checks, review of driving history, and evaluation of relevant passenger or commercial driving experience. Driver performance, punctuality, and customer feedback are monitored continuously. Where standards are not met, coaching or retraining may be provided, and drivers may be removed from duty when necessary. ZyroGo applies zero tolerance to dangerous behaviours such as impaired driving, deliberate speeding, or aggressive conduct on the road. Passenger conduct rules are also enforced to ensure a safe working environment for drivers and a respectful atmosphere for all travelers. Under the Service Agreement, drivers have authority to refuse service or require a passenger to leave the vehicle if behaviour creates a safety or security concern.
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
ZyroGo operates within defined safety standards for vehicle condition, weight limits, and proper stowage of baggage and equipment. Items may be refused if they cannot be secured safely or if their size or weight could create risk during handling or travel. Vehicles undergo regular mechanical inspections, and drivers are trained to perform pre-trip and post-trip checks to identify visible issues that could affect safe operation. If any safety concern is identified, a vehicle may be removed from service until inspection or maintenance is completed in line with operational and regulatory requirements. Fleet standards emphasize clean, mechanically sound vehicles designed for intercity travel, with clear instructions provided to passengers regarding aisle access, baggage placement, and the proper use of safety equipment such as seatbelts where available.
Regulatory Compliance
ZyroGo’s operations follow Ontario and Canadian transportation regulations governing commercial passenger vehicles and intercity travel. Drivers hold the appropriate licence classes and meet age and experience standards required under provincial guidance. Hours-of-service requirements, vehicle inspections, and safety procedures are applied in accordance with applicable laws. ZyroGo may cooperate with regulators, law enforcement, and other authorities when inspections or incidents require it. Service Agreement and Privacy Policy provisions reflect this compliance framework, including circumstances where data or safety-related records may be shared as required by law.
CCTV & Onboard Monitoring
Some ZyroGo vehicles are equipped with CCTV systems that may capture video, and in some cases audio, within passenger areas and vehicle entry points. These systems form part of a broader safety program intended to deter misconduct, support the Passenger Code of Conduct, and provide an objective record when incidents or complaints are reviewed. Access to recordings is limited to authorized personnel or trusted service providers responsible for maintaining system functionality. Recordings are retained only for a limited period and are securely deleted unless required for investigation or legal obligations. Footage is not used for marketing or passenger profiling purposes.
Continuous Safety Improvement
ZyroGo reviews incident reports, operational data, passenger feedback, and investigation findings to identify opportunities for improving safety procedures and service reliability. Patterns observed in safety-related feedback help refine driver guidance, passenger communication, baggage handling procedures, and onboard conduct expectations. Training materials are updated as regulations evolve and as real-world experience provides insight into better approaches for managing emergencies, disruptions, and onboard situations. Technology and monitoring tools may be used to support these improvements while maintaining appropriate security and confidentiality standards.
Report a Safety Concern
ZyroGo encourages passengers and partners to report any safety-related concerns, including dangerous driving, misconduct, vehicle condition issues, or potential regulatory non-compliance. Reports help identify risks that may not be visible through routine monitoring and allow ZyroGo to investigate and respond appropriately. All good-faith reports are reviewed by appropriate staff and handled as discreetly as circumstances allow. While confidentiality is respected, misuse of reporting channels or knowingly false claims may affect how future reports are assessed.
